SIMSCI Futures View ended 02-June-2006

This is daily chart of SIMSCI futures.There was a rebound last friday 02-June-2006. However, SIMSCI futures off from the day high of 288.5 and closed below previous day's high. It continuously moving within the downtrend channel. And in fact, immediate resistance appears to be at 289.5.
From directional analysis, sentiment is negative, however it has yet to reach extreme bearish state. It is likely to continue moving within the downtrend channel. No reversal sign of current trend is observed at this point of time.

SIMSCI view ended 31-May-2006

Before the start of a new trading day, I am looking at daily chart of daily chart of SIMSCI futures. This is daily chart ended 31-May-2006, a negative month for SG market. A gap down yesterday just fulfill my channel view. SIMSCI is consistently moving within the downtrend channel. I see immediate support at 277 area while immediate resistance is found at 290 area.
Overnight rebound at U.S market does not give me a strong bullish feeling yet. It might lift up SIMSCI today, however, the strenght is in doubt.

This is daily chart ended yesterday (29-May-2006). It is a nice picture of correction. After touching upper channel, it retreats. The main support is at 200-day moving average. I would prefer to concentrate on short site instead of hoping bull run comes back. Trade with the fact is more realiable.

SIMSCI & HangSeng 29-May-2006

HangSeng

This is daily chart of HangSeng Futures. Bearish sentiment is still dominating with small improvement. Resistance is found at area of 16330. No significant signs of correction completion.

SIMSCI

This is daily chart of SIMSC. Directional analysis shows that bearish sentiment is still dominating but with low ADX value which indicates low trend strength. Bullish sentiment is at low but starts ticking up.
Moving average analysis wise, short term trend is still staying below long term trend , however, it starts ticking up from bottom as well. Market sentiment is still negative with slight improvement is observed.
From price action, as shown in the chart, SIMSCI is still moving within the recent downtrend channel. However, it has reached upper channel band.
These observations give me a feeling of short term rally is on its way while it is too early to conclude current correction is completed and uptrend will resume.

Some trading opportunities appear in SIMSCI. Though, it failed to perform as expected in the afternoon session.

The mistake of the day is trying to trade out of choppy market. Short position was stop out at trailing stop 287.8. With -0.6 loss.

From the 12-min chart of SIMSCI it is indeed choppy. The decision to get into the trade on either side was wrong.

It is not bullish enough to end current correction, while at the same time, though HangSeng is experiencing short term downtrend, down trend strength is weak.

It is indeed a disappointed day. Stop loss was triggered at 297.8 with 0.6 loss. In fact , from 15-minute chart, a descending triangle was formed. It was rather bearish at that point of time.

This is daily chart of HangSeng Futures. Yesterday's gain did not give me too much bullish sign. Instead, correction doesn't seem to be over just yet. Sentiment indicator is still in negative zone.

This is daily chart of Simsci futures. Similar to hangseng, I am not so bullish now. The straight trend line of recent uptrend seems to be resistance now. Sentiment is still negative.

With Dow Industrial fell another 214 points, how bullish the sentiment can be today? I am watching for intraday trade opportunity today.

This is a small intraday gain , entry 303.6 , exit 304.9 as profit target hit. It is indeed a small bull.

Not a bad day,after all. There are wolves in the market. Follow them, never go against them.

Wolves, usually hunt in packs, fight for their own benefit without fear. Once target is reached or missing, they retreat and dismiss.

The wolf is a carnivore, an animal suited for catching, killing and eating other creatures. Wolves prey primarily on large, hoofed mammals called ungulates.

Consolidation seems to be finally over. Gold starts to swing up. After breaking short term downtrend line and close above 561.2, it has provided a good setup for swing trade. Short EMAs group start ticking up and moving away from long term EMA groups. This shows trend continuation. Stop loss is currently set at 557.

Gold seems to start swing up again, however, I would wait till trend line is broken to confirm resumption of bull run. Underlying uptrend is still holding strong, despite the short term weakness.

A quick review of yesterday's trading signal. Nikkei225 was called for a SELL while, Mini JGB was a BUY. True. With the aid of regional selling mood, everything worked out according to plan.

Technically, I am looking at SELL for SIMSCI and NIKKEI225 for today's trading. There might be some rebound of SIMSCI after such big loss yesterday, however, with the view of surging of sellers, odds are still with SELL. Just to watch out and put in stop to prevent any damage due to rebound. While, there might be a BUY chance for Nikkei225 as it is currently at support.

SIMSCI sep05: From daily chart, SIMSCI closed below 21-day moving average and right above 40-day moving average support line. Seller's curve start crossing above buyers. I have received a Sell signal. Complete Sell setup will be confirmed after market re-open. SIMSCI most likely to open high after overnight DJ index rallied over 141 points. However, I am betting on Short site.

SIMSCI opened high and losing its early gain. I am looking at 270.5 to establish Short position.

MSCI Taiwan failed to complete my BUY setup. System call was voided. I am staying neutral for MSCI Taiwan now.

Again, Nikkei failed to reach my buy setup. No position was established. I am looking for great buyer force before establish long position.

Mini Hang Seng failed to perform. Instead, it drop-33 points. My BUY setup was not completed. Trade was voided.

Nikkei225 September 05 contract: I have received a BUY signal from volatility system. Yesterday's (29-August-2005) fall gives me a setup for buy signal. With weekly uptrend still intact, and Nikkei225 currently well above 22-day moving average support line, these give me a chance of establish a Long position to join the trend if the trend is strong enough to move on. Complete setup will be confirmed tomorrow after market re-open. To me, odds are with Long site for this point of time.

Long position was established at 12465 on 30-August-2005.
Sold at 12470 on 30-August-2005 as market failed to move higher to break 12485.

Mini Hang Seng August Contract: From weekly chart, Mini Hang Seng has yet to show any uptrend reversal sign. Buyers are still dominating. From daily chart, buyers' curve is edging up and exceeded previous high while sellers' curve ticking down, buyers and sellers set to merge soon. I have received a BUY signal from my volatility system. Complete setup of BUY will be confirmed after market re-open.

From pattern trading system, should 14815 leve be broken, I will be looking at Sell.

I have no trade to be made tomorrow. No signal for SIMSCI, Nikkei, MSCI Taiwan, and HangSeng.

A mistake was made yesterday by forgoing Sell signal of HangSeng. Missing a good trade is as bad as making a bad trade. HangSeng took a dip yesterday, and it is well under my system sell point. Profit was missed. I take this as a mistake.

Volatility of SIMSCI provided day trader profit opportunities these days. I have observed a increase interest in SIMSCI trading recently. Popularity seems to be building up.

T-Bond market look attractive to me, study and testing is going on. T-bond will be included in my trading list as soon as testing completed.

Another quiet day for me. I do not receive any trading signal for SIMSCI, MSCI Taiwan, and Nikkei225.

Another sell signal was generated, and again, I have made the decision of letting it go as HangSeng is still moving in strong trend.

I have closed Nikkei225 position @12265 as trailing stop order was triggered. P/L:180 pt. Based on 1 contract trading , this signal gave us profit around SGD 1296 , holding period 7 days.

As I am not gifted to predict future, tomorrow is going to be a day without trading.

It is gonna be another day without action. I stay neutral for SIMSCI, HangSeng, and MSCI Taiwan.

The only signal I have received is a Sell signal for HangSeng. However, from weekly chart, strong uptrend is observed, I choose to stay back from short selling.

SIMSCI
After touching 50-day moving average support, SIMSCI did a rebound yesterday (16-August-2005).
I do not have any buy or sell signal for the time being. Instead, I would prefer to observe and confirm the setup before
taking action.

Nikkei225
I have raised trailing stop to 12265. I have yet to see any trend reversal sign. Though yesterday's close formed a doji, I do not take this kind of pattern into trading consideration.

We expected a rebound of SIMSCI after heavy loss of STI yesterday, however, no action was taken as system does not generate any signal.

In addition, William Accumulation/Distribution shows a positive sign when price fall to previous low but indicator manage to stay higher (refer to chart, in white).
